Two and a half years ago Bill Scott, wool producer from Glenrowan, undertook a demanding but rewarding online course at the Institute of Land and Food Resources, University of Melbourne. Since then Bill has not only graduated with honours in all subjects in the Master of Agribusiness, his Internet skills have increased to the point where he finds them one of the most powerful tools for his business.
"The demands of studying over the Internet meant that I was logging on at least twice a day to keep up," Bill said. "This is a habit that I have continued since completing my studies. Every morning I check the weather, the wool futures prices, my banking and of course my emails. I may follow this with a search for information on a particular subject current to my business at that time."
