Dr David Sparling
Senior Associate David Sparling (BSc, MBA, Ph.D. Business Administration) is an Associate Professor at the University of Guelph in Canada.
David has been President of an agricultural production company, an agri-businessinsurance company and a biotechnology start-up. His teaching and research interests are in the areas of supply chain management, operations management and commercializing new technologies.
He has taught in the Schools of Business at McMaster and Wilfred Laurier Universities as well as at the Australian Graduate School of Management in Sydney. His research focuses onareas critical to agri-food supply chains and he has made industry presentations in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand and the United States. David has published numerous articles dealing with food supply chain issues.
Dave has been the lecturer for Operations and Decision Making in the Master of Agribusiness since the inception of the course in 1998.
