The Master of Agribusiness, an innovative course being offered by the Faculty of Land and Food Resources at The University of Melbourne, is now into its 10th year.
Food and fibre products represent a very significant share of overall Australian business activity, yet there are few prestige post-graduate programs tailored specifically for those working within these industries. The orientation of the Master of Agribusiness (Coursework) is toward those in any agribusiness operation, from large, medium or small. The course is designed to anticipate both current and future industry needs.
Agribusiness is food and fibre business. It is unique because it deals with agricultural products produced under conditions of risk and volatility and because it deals with food, with all its attendant security, safety and nutritional aspects.
The Master of Agribusiness (Coursework) focuses on enhancing specific skills required to make effective business decisions within the context of the food and fibre business, from input suppliers through primary producers to wholesalers, processors, retailers in a competitive, consumer-directed market.
